(Detroit, MI) -- An estimated four-thousand people attended last night's 59th annual NAACP Freedom Fund Dinner at Cobo Center in Detroit. The keynote speaker at the event was attorney, civil rights expert and author Charles Ogletree Junior. Ogletree said, "we are not post-racial," in talking about the work that still needs to be done when it comes to civil rights. He did, though talk about progress that's been made including having the country's first black president, who happens to be a former student of Ogletree's.
