(Lansing, MI) -- A conference committee is giving its approval to a proposed state budget. Part of the plan passed last night will make it easier for local communities to get revenue sharing payments from the state. The budget also includes 25-million dollars in one-time funding along with 25-million in on-going funding for the state's film incentive program. There is also a multi-million dollar allotment for development and repair of non-motorized trails across the state. Additionally the budget calls for 800-thousand dollars to expedite the granting of permits for demolition in Detroit and more than a million dollars to cover the rent for the state police forensic lab.
