(Pittsfield Township, MI) -- A lightning strike at a Pittsfield Township park is responsible for the death of a 32-year-old Saline man. The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy yesterday on the body of Dustin Flodin and determined the lightning electrocuted him. Jeff Poliner found the man and ran to the park entrance and alerted the Pittsfield Township Fire Department across the street, but Flodin could not be saved. The lightning was powerful enough to split the tree next to Flodin in half.
