No Charges For Boyfriend In Spartan Stadium Threat

(East Lansing, MI) -- The boyfriend of a the woman accused of calling in a bomb threat to Spartan Stadium will not face charges. Anthony Shearer was pulled over by Michigan State University police last month for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, his girlfriend, Cynthia Spade, allegedly called a bomb threat in to 911. Shearer was arrested on an outstanding warrant, but prosecutors argued he was an accessory because he said nothing of his girlfriend's call. Yesterday, a judge ruled that there was no evidence that Shearer knew Spade was going to call in the threat.
