(Detroit, MI) -- Detroit authorities are investigating the death of a man whose mummified body was discovered near the abandoned Belle Isle Zoo Sunday evening. According to police, the body was found in a snow drift. A spokesperson for the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office says because of the cold, dry conditions in the drift, it limited the body's decomposition. The victim is believed to be a homeless man in his 50's, and his identity and the cause of death remains unclear at this time.
