(Toledo, OH) -- Nearly 400-thousand residents in southern Michigan and northern Ohio have been told not to drink water out of their taps. Officials have even warned residents not to boil the water, because it will not get rid of the toxin that has contaminated the water which comes from Lake Erie. While the greater Toledo area is most affected by the ban, four Monroe County communities have also been told not to drink or boil their water. Those communities under the advisory are Luna Pier, LaSalle Township, Bedford Township and Erie Township. Officials are waiting for Sunday test results before they can start letting people know if the water is safe to drink.
