(Detroit, MI) -- Select former Detroit area residents or people with ties to the city are being asked to return for a Detroit Homecoming event in September. An ad hoc committee of government and business leaders created the occasion to encourage a reinvestment in the city as it emerges from bankruptcy. The group wants to attract 150 attendees for the three-day, invitation-only gathering. The Homecoming itinerary includes tours of the city, dinner on the riverfront, and a concert in Chene Park.
