(Detroit, MI) -- Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's financial problems continue to grow even as he serves a 28-year prison sentence for corruption. Yesterday, a federal judge ruled Kilpatrick and former city treasurer Jeffrey Beasley will have to pay close to 700-thousand dollars for taking extravagant gifts while serving on the city's pension fund. The gifts included concert tickets, VIP hotel rooms in Las Vegas, and private jet flights for lavish golf trips. Beasley is still awaiting trial in a separate corruption case.
