(Detroit, MI) -- Two resource centers are open in Detroit to help people who are trying to recover from flood damage. Coordinating agencies are providing advice on financial aid, social services, restoration work, construction permits, and healthcare. There is a west side center at Adams-Butzel Recreation Center, along with suburban locations. Garbage collections in Detroit and other communities are running several days behind schedule because of the amount of water-damaged items left curbside.
