(Lansing, MI) -- More than one-quarter of the state's 40 charter school authorizers are in danger of being cut off from adding more schools. State school Superintendent Mike Flanagan released a list of struggling charter authorizers who are, quote, "at risk of suspension." The list includes several of the Detroit area's largest institutions such as Detroit Public Schools. Flanagan said those on the list rank in the bottom ten-percent academically and have poor oversight of their schools.
