(Detroit, MI) -- A suspect is dead after a routine traffic stop turned dramatic yesterday afternoon. A Detroit Police officer stopped a car going the wrong way on 30th near Warren and noticed drugs inside. The driver took off, dragging the officer, who was able to get off one shot. The vehicle overturned and hit a light stand. Police Chief James Craig says the suspect was killed, but they are not sure what the cause of death was. The officer was treated at a local hospital for some minor scrapes and bruises.
