(Detroit, MI) -- Two police sergeants are charged with armed robbery. The charges stem from an incident that took place after the daughter of one of the sergeants was robbed of her cell phone. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy says that while off duty, Sergeants Michael Notoriano and David Pomeroy tracked down the three men who allegedly robbed Notoriano's daughter. Officials say Pomeroy took a handgun and the iPhone from the vehicle the men had been in, and kept watch while Notoriano took 300-dollars and a bag of pot from one their pockets. It is also alleged that Notoriano struck one of the men in the face with a handgun before the two sergeants fled the scene. The two face numerous charges including armed robbery, willful neglect of duty and unlawful search, seizure and detention.
